Giving Back to Our Community

Help us share the warmth this winter! Now through November 10th, our charitable fund We CARE will be collecting new and gently used winter outerwear for our neighbors in need. A collection bin is located in the lobby of both our Mokena and New Lenox locations, accepting jackets, gloves, hats, scarves and socks. All items will be donated to Morning Star Mission Ministries.

LincolnWay area residents are invited to learn the value of their coins, jewelry and precious metals at LincolnWay Community Bank’s Appraisal Days at the bank’s Mokena and New Lenox locations.

Appraisals will be performed by Americana Coin and Jewelry a locally owned collectable coin, jewelry and precious metals dealer based in New Lenox. The unwritten appraisals are free, and not intended for insurance use. However, in many cases, Americana Coin & Jewelry will offer to purchase the appraised items.

Appraisal Days will be held at the LincolnWay Community Bank Mokena branch located at 19102 S. 88th Avenue on Friday, June 11, 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., and on Saturday, June 12, 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.

LincolnWay Community Bank is the presenting sponsor for the LoveMoves.Us Virtual 5K Walk/Run/Ride from Friday, May 21 through Sunday, May 23. LoveMoves.Us is an organization dedicated to helping all foster and adoptive families flourish. The challenges of overcoming years of institutionalization, neglect, abuse and trauma can be difficult, but there is hope. With the right support, an evidence-based care model, and a network of people who understand the unique challenges of parenting a child who comes from another family, LoveMoves.Us can help families thrive. “The need for families is quite clear,” said LincolnWay Community Bank chief financial officer, Jeff Baker. “Every child belongs in a family. Not everyone can foster or adopt, but everyone can do something. That’s why LincolnWay Community Bank is supporting this organization.” The goal is to raise $10,000 at this year’s 5K Walk/Run/Ride. All participants will receive a LoveMoves.Us t-shirt and prizes will be awarded. To learn more, including pledge lists and local 5K courses, visit
